Project Technique Reproduction:
The goal of each of these three exercises was to master as closely as possible the original artist/designer's rendering technique and medium in order to build our repertoire and fluency with each medium. 1. This work is a reproduction of the original design rendering of The Lilac Garden painted by Desmond Heeley for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (1990). 2. This work is a reproduction of the original design rendering of Amfortas in Parsifal by Johann Engels for The Lyric Opera Chicago (2013). 3. *This work is a reproduction of the original design rendering of Vickie Anderson, Scene 4, Restaurant in The Thomas Crown Affair by Theadora Van Runkle (1968). *A side note on this project: Since the goal was to improve my own technique by reproducing renderings as closely as possible to the originals, I thought I would have some fun and attempt to copy one of the renderings for a movie with the content of art forgery! |
